Q: Why do I need a Care Plan for my WordPress website?

A: Not only do you need someone to maintain the technical operations and the security of your website, but you’ll also get the most out of your website for your business outcomes. It’s much less stress on you if you have an experienced team of people on hand to help you with content, marketing and strategic advice - and that’s us, the Red Cloud team!

Q: Why do I need to update my WordPress and plugins?

A: Just like an operating system on your computer or your mobile phone, WordPress requires ongoing updates to improve the experience for you and your website visitors. In addition, your site will use something called WordPress plugins to manage all that complex functionality you need to keep the site working properly. These plugins are created by multiple authors, and are consistently updated to newer versions to comply with the latest version of WordPress, or to address security issues and bugs. For this reason, having a trained web specialist on hand to monitor the website is necessary to update plugins, rollback plugins, replace plugins or even adjust your theme to continue optimal performance.

Q: Why do I need a monthly analytics report?

A: Much like looking after your car, you need to service a website to see where it’s performing well and where you can make changes to improve your outcomes. Analytics reports will show where those adjustments are needed, plus where the successes are that you can celebrate with your team!

Q: Why do I need technical, content or SEO audits?

A: Things move fast in the online world. What was best practice last year may not be next year. But you stay ahead of the curve by getting an idea of where your site is at, and what needs to be implemented to get the most from your investment in the next year.

Q: How do I cancel my plan?

A: Our plans operate on an annual basis. That way you get a guaranteed service level and a lock-in price. As your annual plan comes up for review we’ll contact you and discuss what your future business plans are, from there we can either adjust your plan or continue your current plan. If you want to cease your working relationship with Red Cloud, simply give us 30 days notice so we can carry out our last thorough update of the website and supply you with a full backup and remove our administrator credentials so you can move to another agency.

Q: How do I contact you when I have a problem?

A: We provide a support ticket desk for quick turnaround and tracking of all support requests. You can submit all requests to support@redcloud.com.au and we will reply within normal business hours. If you have a plan with priority service we’ll get back to you within 60 minutes during regular work hours or 4 hours outside of regular business hours.

Q: Will Red Cloud help with social media and marketing newsletters?

A: Yes, our Gold and Platinum plans include these services. Certain image licences may incur additional fees if they are outside our licenced library options. Additional fees may apply to set up accounts and create artwork for avatars or page headers but once we’ve done that for you, your ongoing activities (within the hours allocated) are covered in your Care Plan.

Q: Can you assist me with SEO work?

A: Yes! Ask us for some ideas on how you can improve your SEO on your website.

When this is done we can post it to your social media channels and apply additional content and hashtags. Or additionally, you could write the blogs and we can review and upload - this package would generally allow for 2 blogs per month. In addition, we can email your new content to your clients/customers in an electronic newsletter.

  3. As an example, this package would enable us to write (or assist in writing) a blog for you, review the blog, feed back changes and upload to your website. When this is done we can post it to your social media channels and apply additional content and hashtags. Or additionally, you could write the blogs and we can review and upload - this package would generally allow for up to 4 blogs per month. In addition, we can send your content to your clients or customers in an electronic newsletter. This Care Plan would generally allow for 2 electronic newsletters a month. In addition, the extra time for support and strategy can be used for lead generation campaigns and other targeted marketing campaigns - just ask us for ideas!

Terms and conditions:

  • These plans are designed for WordPress websites only - Red Cloud is unable to offer Care Plans on any other content management system.

  • Any hours in excess of the monthly allocation will be billed at our hourly rate (these vary across tasks so ask us for more details). We will keep you up to date with hours each month and will not undertake any hours in excess of your allocated plan without your express written consent.

  • Any unused content, marketing and general support hours will be credited towards future activities.

  • Plans operate for 12 months and your monthly cost will be deducted automatically on the first of the month from your credit card. We’ll sit down and review your plan on an annual basis to work out the best option for you.

  • While we aim to cover all hours in the Care Packages, additional fees may apply for set-up work such as templates and accounts for electronic newsletters, client database activities and marketing campaigns.

  • If your website runs e-commerce or subscription membership plugins you’ll need to sign up for either the Gold or Platinum plans.

  • Cancellation of any monthly recurring service can occur at any time after your first one month (30 days) of service. In order to cancel your recurring payment or change payment method, simply contact Red Cloud prior to your future payments.

  • Payments for the first two months will be due within 14 days of signing the care plan agreement. Invoices will be generated on the first of each month for the following month and are due within 14 days.

  • You acknowledge that you or your staff who attempt to update the website and damages the design or impairs the ability for the web pages to display or function properly, may result in additional time and costs to repair or restore the website. In this event, damages will be assessed at an hourly rate of AU$160 per hour with a one-hour minimum. Work to repair damage to the website from you or your employee modifications is outside of the support time and scope of your care package.

  • Although we strive for your website’s optimal performance and security, we did not build the WordPress software or the plugins used on the website, nor do we own or have operational control of the hosting platform it runs on.

  • Red Cloud does not represent, guarantee or warrant that the functions contained in these webpages or internet website will be will be uninterrupted, error-free, free from loss, corruption, attack, viruses, interference, hacking, or other security intrusions, and Red Cloud disclaims any liability relating thereto. To the extent not prohibited by law, in no event will Red Cloud be liable to the client or any third party for any damages, including, but not limited to, any lost profits, lost savings, loss of data, business interruption, or incidental, consequential or special damages arising out of the operation of or inability to operate these webpages or website, however caused, even if Red Cloud has been advised of the possibility of such damages.
